Is it bad to ask WHY????

Sometimes I don't quite understand why things happen. I guess I should expand on that and say BAD things. I know that I am 27 years old and that I should understand the process by now, or at least accept it without questions but I just don't understand why pain is necessary. Especially when it happens to amazing people. I can't help but sometimes wonder why??
