Who Would Have Thought...

Why are these so much fun?????? And how in the world do you put one of these up there??????

Pax came into my bathroom a couple of weeks ago crying that his nose hurt. After a quick look up the nostril I noticed a red Lego in the right side. I tried and tried to get him to blow it out with no success. After about 5 minutes of blowing a green Lego came flying out the left side. What the heck??? How many of these things did he shove up there? Nick came in with some tools (flashlight and tweezers) and went to work. After an hour (OK it was really 15 minutes but when you are holding a screaming boy down you reserve the right to quadruple the time) Nick took him to the Doctors! 2 hours later Pax returned a happy camper with a sticker, Nick returned home with 2 more Lego's that had been retrieved! Yes that makes a grand total of 3 Lego's up a 2 year olds nose! Course I guess he fits one chubby finger up there daily so heck he's been stretching those nostrils out for months now.

We learned our lesson, no more Legos up noses! Ouch, things up noses hurt right Pax? WRONG! Last week Pax came upstairs yelling "Up nose mom".

I then spent the next 20 minutes blowing melted chocolate chips out his nose! I really can't say how many were up there? 3??? 4??? Both nostrils were used.

In the tub he went...

Out of the tub he went...

Poop I scooped out of the tub...

On the toilet he went...

In the toilet he fell, still wet from tub...

What a morning... What a kid!!!!

Too Many Cute Faces To Not Share!!!

We took a little trip down to Cali for a week or so for a little Siddoway Family Reuniun. So many fun Memories. The last day of the trip when we were packing up, trying to make our 11am deadline, our kiddos had fun keeping themselves busy.

We spent a lot of time just enjoying DL instead of trying to see every attraction and hit every ride and it was so nice. A lot of chasing ducks, eating Nestles icecream cookie sandwiches and just enjoying family time.

Paxton and Brinley were little buddies the whole entire time. They call each other Baby, and are best friends!

Me and Coop were walking in Cali Adventure one day and this hobo band asked Cooper to join them. He was such a stud making music on that washboard!

This was the whole Siddoway Clan with our matching shirts and all. Nick had made matching shirts that said 'Siddoway Mouse Club' for everyone and they were AWESOME. Somehow we were missing one so poor Nick volunteered to be the odd one out.

One day, just our fam of 5, went to the beach to soak up some sun! The kids had a blast. They would run into the water and then roll around in the sand. They were so proud of their mud monster creations.

Dang I have one good looking husband! :)

Sam is my beach babe twin. Her and I could spend days at the beach without even leaving once! We LOVE the BEACH!!
The first night we got to the hotel the kids and Nick were both beat and decided to spend their night doing this...

Fun Fun Memories and Cute Cute Faces!

Counting My Blessings...

Sometimes it is critical to just get your blessings written down. These last couple of weeks, although they have been a little hard, have helped me realize all the amazing blessings around me. So here's a few so I don't forget my feelings in years to come.

  • My home. I feel safe in it, I feel at home in it.

  • My Paxtons response to everything nowadays. "no fank you" and "Cooker did it"

  • Friends who take care of my children as if they were their own and take care of me as if we were sisters.

  • A body that although is not perfect is keeping me alive and going.

  • The company my husband works for. Oh how I am grateful my husband has a job and with a good company.

  • How my Sam reads to me now every night instead of me to her.

  • Vegetables. I really just love vegetables.

  • Ward Families. They are named that for a reason.

  • Telephones. Could I live away from Utah without talking to Sisters, in-laws, moms and dads everyday?

  • How my Cooper loves to rub his hands through hair when he is tired. His hair, mine, laying by him at night is relaxing.

  • Books on tape.

  • A husband who, for the last year, has sacrificed more for his wife than he should have to. Hours and Hours (literally I would say we're up to days and days) in waiting rooms, having to spend his nights driving me around to do my errands. Waiting on me hand and foot, surgery after surgery, reading to me, taking full responsibility of the kids, loving me when I am at my most horrible self. Wow I sure do love him.

I don't want to forget these feelings. I don't want to forget my overwhelming gratitude for these people above. I love them, and I truly do feel blessed, amazingly blessed!

Is it bad to ask WHY????

Sometimes I don't quite understand why things happen. I guess I should expand on that and say BAD things. I know that I am 27 years old and that I should understand the process by now, or at least accept it without questions but I just don't understand why pain is necessary. Especially when it happens to amazing people. I can't help but sometimes wonder why??

Maybe to remind us...

How late can you celebrate your childrens birthdays before your considered neglective...

I feel so blessed that I have children who are very easy going in nature and don't care how late their birthdays are as long as they get one. My dear Sam was a VERY patient girl this year and I am so grateful for her. Nick and I were in Boston over Sam's birthday in January and when we got back it took awhile to get back to our normal (Normal, ha) life. So my beautiful Sam celebrated her birthday in March! We had promised her that when she had learned to ride her bike w/out training wheels then we would take her to Chucky Cheese. (There is nothing wrong with a good bribe:) So she learned how back in Jan and so we did a Birthday/Bike combo party at dear old Chucky Cheese! Our good friends the Fallers joined us for the fun!Sam designed her cake herself months before her birthday! She had decided back in Nov that she wanted a cake with a crown on it with little girl doll cookies holding hands around the cake. I love that girls imagination! She helped me decorate all the girls and we had fun using fondant for the first time!

Sam was so concerned with biting their heads off. She licked it for awhile and then off it went!

I love this picture of Pax. He thought it was so cool he was riding a car next to a rat. (Is that what Chucky is? A rat?)
What I love about my Sam...
  • Her constant need to learn. Every night I have to beg her to stop reading and go to bed.
  • That she can sit in a car with Cooper for 4 hours in the back without one toy and play the whole entire time. Her and Cooper love to tell stories.
  • That she loves to put her hair in sponge curlers at night.
  • Her big beautiful green princess eyes as papa Flannery puts it.
  • Her obsession with dogs and the need to have one. I have a feeling that living with no dogs is coming to an end. I don't know how much longer we can hold off!

Oh my Sam. She is such a good. good girl and I love her so very much! Yah she has her emotional breakdowns at least once a day, but heck so do I!

***********************************************************

In the month of March we had School projects going on at our house! At the school that Sam goes to I love that they have monthly family projects. Every month they have some type of project that we sit down and work on as a family. This months was to make some type of floor plan/3D Map of a house or location. Sam picked her favorite place ever and we started working on a map of Disneyland. I love how proud she gets after she finishes something that she knows she worked hard at!

************************************************

We were able to go down to Barbara's great-uncles farm again this year to celebrate Barbara's 4Th birthday! We love going down there to ride horses and chase chicks. Thank you so much Barbara for the fun party!!

Pax lasted a whole 15 seconds on the horse. He is so funny, he loves animals but only from a far.

I love these two boys. There is NEVER a dull/quiet moment when these two boys are around.

Sam is a natural animal lover. She has been obsessed with horses since the day she met Misty when she was 3. (Thank you Schneft farm)

*****************************************************

There have been a lot of sleepovers going on in our home lately now that school is out! There is nothing that makes a mom happier then seeing her children loving each other. Even when it is when they are asleep.
***************************************************
And then there was Paxton's birthday! The kids and I were up in Utah for his birthday so we decided to celebrate it with his daddy when we got back!
This is me attempting to wrap big presents. He's not sure what to do with them!

Pax LOVES dogs. If they are not barking at him or touching him. Like I said, loves animals from afar. So we made him a dog cake this year. And then for some reason him and Cooper ate the dog cake like dogs! Oh Well!

This was the result of eating the cake without hands!

Things I love about Paxton.

  • His dancng. Even if that kid hears music on a commercial he breaks out in some awesome dancing.
  • I feel bad for saying this, but I do love how he calls people poopey head. I know it is bad to laugh and most the time we don't but I can't help but love it.
  • His constant comment of "Cooker (Cooper) did it."
  • That no matter how many times I put him in his big boy bed he always finds his way back into Sammy's bed snuggling with her.
  • His dimples. That face of his is going to break a lot of hearts.
  • His love/hate relationship with animals!
  • When he takes my cheeks in between his hands and plants a 10 second kiss on me.

I love my Pax and feel so extremely blessed to have that little boy in my life!

It Was Worth A Shot! :)

Just a little "Catch Up" from the last couple months. My Pledge to do better at blogging must have been very late at night because I am just not good at Keeping up... so instead I spend my life Catching up! Oh Well...

We Spent a little weekend up in Pine Top back in March. It was a Wonderful weekend and my kids enjoyed the snow like it was Christmas! Sam prays to move up to Utah a couple times a week and when we ask why she wants to go up there she replies, "I want to live where it snows". Apparently Utah is the only place where snow exists. So thank you Pine Top for showing my children snow!!!

These six kids are best buddies and LOVE spending time together! Such good kids!

NEW BIKE ALERT AT THE SIDDOWAY HOME...

Both Cooper and Sam were outgrowing their bikes and needed to upgrade! Sam had learned how to ride without training wheels and Cooper had a big wheel, and with the weather so nice we couldn't resist. They are proud sporting their new Tough Safety Gear!!

***********P*******************************************************

Paxton seems to get into EVERYTHING lately! He found some of Mom's lipstick that DOES NOT COME OFF and decided to decorate. He came down with the first face. I freaked out and his second face showed. Then when I found out there was NO lipstick on carpet we had fun again!!

******************************************************************

Spent a couple days in DL with the Flannery/Mueller Fam! Super fun to all be together before weddings and missions!

Disneyland is fun but so are hotel rooms!!
***********************************************************

Nick and I decided when we moved here that we were going to have mini field trips on the weekends so that we could get the full experience of living in Phoenix. So one of our latest excursions was a trip to Scottsdale to the Arabian Horse Expo. We went and watched an Arabian horse show! I loved it, the kids did to the first round. After round 4 they were bored so we ate...

It was a fun night and Nick and I decided we want a horse. Maybe two, and possibly some goats. Chickens are still up in the air with a dog! :)
